Abstract

1451435 Sluice gates HAM BAKER & CO Ltd 28 Jan 1974 [28 Oct 1972] 49803/72 Heading E1H In a penstock or sluice gate the door 11 is guided in its movement between the open and closed positions by two guide members 40 on the door 11 or on the frame 10 in which the door moves. Two channels 42 are provided on the frame or the door to receive the guide members with a close sliding fit. The guide members and/or the channels are adjustable to vary the position of the door relative to the frame. In the embodiment shown the channels 42 are formed in the side edges of the door and the guide members 40 are secured to the frame 10 by bolts 45 passing through slots 46 in the side parts 41 of the frame.
