Abstract

1450417 Air-freshening R H STAMPER 4 Oct 1973 [6 Oct 1972 (3)] 46332/73 Heading A5G [Also in Division E1] A disposable air-freshener pack 60 for connection to a pipe 78 of a w.c. ventilation system comprises a filter substance 62 for deodourizing and'or perfuming foul air and a battery 64 both of which are located in the annular space formed between perforated inner 54 and outer 52 casings, the battery having leads connected to terminals 74, 74.1 outside the outer casing for connection to a fan whereby foul air can be drawn into the inner casing, passed through the substance 62 and out of the outer casing. The fan may be located in the pipe 78 or, as shown, in a removable lid 58. The end of pipe 78 may be flared to receive the pack, Fig. 1 (not shown). The pipe 78 may lead to ducting on a w.c. seat, the seat having a pressure-sensitive switch for the fan. The pack may be located directly in a w.c. seat. The substance 62 may be activated carbon.
