Abstract
1449793 Spring upholstery DAIMLERBENZ AG 17 March 1975 [27 March 1974] 11046/75 Heading A4M A wire spring 2 with a U-shaped end loop 4 comprising limbs 5, 6 joined by an arcuate web 7 is secured to a seat frame 1 by first passing the end loop 4 through an opening defined by a bridge-like strap 3 pressed out of the frame 1 until it engages on abutment 8 pressed out of the frame 1 and then pressing in the strap 3 between the limbs 5, 6 so that the strap 3 embraces each of the limbs 5, 6 on both sides. The free limb 6 is bent outwardly, from its initial, unstressed condition lying parallel with the other limb 5, during the pressing in of the strap 3 between the limbs 5, 6. In another embodiment Fig. 3 (not shown) the strap (3a) extends obliquely in relation to the limbs 5, 6.
