Abstract

1448717 Electromagnets ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 24 Oct 1973 [25 Oct 1972] 49486/73 Heading HIP [Also in Division H2] An electromagnet with protecting diodes and connector comprises a former 22 of thermoplastic material with integral resilient detents 32, 33, together with at least two supports 26, 27, 28 fixed to it supporting a plate 29 lined with conductors 39, 40, 41 with connections to a component as 42, 43 two contact pins 16, 17 and winding 23 with iron core 24 and whose ends pass between supports and detents 26 and 32, 27 and 33. The diodes 42, 43 are received in recesses 44, 45. The turret 14 is filled with thermo plastic material or a casting resin and plug member (19) (Fig. 1, not shown), which may be screwed on to it by cap nut (21) has sleeves (18) which mate with pins 16, 17 and are connected to leads (20). Electromagnet 10 has recess 28 for a movable core for actuating a valve (11) and is isolated from its connector by plate 36. The connectors are: pins 16 to conductor 39 and 17 to conductor 40. Freewheel diode 42 is connected between conductors 39, 41 and diode 43 for wrong polarity protection between conductors 40, 41.
