Abstract

1448283 Self-processing film units; film packs EASTMAN KODAK CO 5 July 1973 [5 July 1972] 32057/73 Heading G2X A self-processing photographic film unit arranged (after exposure) to be moved relative to a processing station, includes a photo-sensitive element and a process sheet which are permanently attached together to define an image recording portion, supply means for supplying fluent processing composition to the image-recording portion, and a carrier sheet which is permanently attached to the supply means and the trailing end of which is strippably coupled to the leading end (at which processing is initiated) of the image-recording portion. As shown Fig. 1, the image-recording portion 3 comprises photo-sensitive and imagereceiving sheets 11 and 13 permanently attached to one another by spacer rails 15. A pod 21 of processing liquid is permanently coupled at 45 to a carrier slot 41 which in turn is releasably coupled at 47 to image-recording portion 3. The carrier sheet has cut-outs 180 at the sides of its trailing edge. A trap 7 for excess processing liquid is coupled to portion 3 at 39 and can be torn off along line 37. The sheets are stacked in a film pack 51, Fig. 10, the top sheet being exposed (after removal of opaque cover sheet 72) through aperture 65 and then transported by a slider 157 which engages a bar 43 with tabs 73 through pressure rollers 159, 161 to guides 173 which allow portion 3 to pass straight on but guide carrier 41 with pod 21 into a section 63 of film pack 51 Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1351971.
