1433602 Photographic cartridges EASTMAN KODAK CO 5 July 1973 [5 July 1972 (3)] 32055/73 Heading G2X A cartridge 10 for holding a number of selfprocessing film units (12), Fig. 2 (not shown) is formed as a box-like container having an exposure aperture 34 in one face through which the units are exposed, an exit slot 36 in one end-wall through which slot the units are subsequently expelled from the cartridge, and a receptacle extending from the said end-wall having a mouth open towards the exit slot. As shown, the receptacle is formed by an extension 24B of one of the side walls of the cartridge (24), Fig. 3 (not shown) which projects beyond the forward end-wall 30A. The extension 24B has sides 26, 28 with flanges 30B extending towards each other. On the inner face of sides 26, 28 are a pair of curved guide-members 54. When the cartridge is in position within the camera Fig. 4, a feed member 48 feeds forward the uppermost of the stack of film units, after exposure, to pass between the pressure rollers 40, 42. The leading end (18), Fig. 2 (not shown) of the film unit, which carries the container (20) holding the processing composition, on emerging from between the rollers, is guided downwards by guides 46 forming part of the camera structure, passing into contact with guides 54. These guide this sheet of the film unit, which is now waste, into a storage compartment in the lower region of the cartridge. The image-recording sheet (14) of the unit separates from the downwardly guided sheet, and, by reason of its inherent stiffness, passes directly out of the exit slot 36.
