Abstract
1447046 Capacitors BRITISH LEYLAND TRUCK & BUS DIVISION Ltd 19 Oct 1973 [28 Nov 1972] 54908/72 Heading H1M A capacitive assembly for use as a high temperature probe comprises a platinum conductor 2 contained within and extending longitudinally along ceramic tube 1, one end of conductor 2 being located within ceramic plug 3 at one end of tube 1, an electroless-plated nickel-phosphorus alloy coating 4 covering the external surface of tube 1 and plug 3 except where a gap 3a, formed by masking and etching, insnlates the conductor 2 from coating 4. As shown, an adaptor 10 is provided for mounting the probe in a standard carrier. Coating 4 functions as a guard screen for conductor 2.
