Abstract

1443855 Foam backings CHEMIEFASERKOMINAT SCHWARZA "WILHELM PIECK" VEB 29 March 1974 14000/74 Addition to 1348911 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions A3, B5 and C3] Coatings on substrates consist of a synthetic, flat, sheet-like foam suitable for textile purposes having open and/or closed pores which is made by foaming at least one foamable polymerisable substance and/or at least one foamable cross-linkable substance applying the foam to the substrate and then polymerising and/or cross-linking the foam by means of electron radiation initiation. In example (4) an unsaturated polyester resin is foamed with carbon dioxide, the foam is applied onto a synthetic resin wall covering and then the foam is cross-linked by irradiation with an electron accelerator. The foam layer may have been levelled with a rake before cross-linking.
