1443224 Piston ring compressor A W ROEBUCK 4 Nov 1974 [29 Nov 1973] 55437/73 Heading B4W A piston ring compressor comprises a nearcircular gapped resilient metal band 1 adapted substantially to encircle piston rings which are to be compressed for insertion into a cylinder, said band having outwardly bent end portions 2 of small radius of curvature and which extend through an arc of 180 degrees so that their outer extremities lie parallel to the adjacent portions of the band the end portions being adapted to be gripped by a gripping tool such as pliers in order to allow closure of the band and the encircled rings.
