Abstract

1441629 Conveyer belts G BECHTLOFF 3 Dec 1973 [14 Dec 1972] 55951/73 Heading B8A A conveyer belt 1 has ribs 2 which are trapezoidal in cross-section and extend at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the belt, the flanks of the ribs being steeper at the edges of the belt than at the central region of the belt. The angle at which the ribs extend to the axis of the belt is greater at the belt edges than at the belt centre. Further ribs 8 intersect the ribs 2. The ribs may be provided on both sides of the belt and be staggered to form a belt of concertina like construction. The tops of the ribs may be slotted. As shown in Fig. 12, the belt 1 is sandwiched between a driven belt 17 and a support belt 18.
