Abstract
1438662 Mounting clutch plates on hubs AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS Ltd 6 Feb 1974 [21 Feb 1972] 55429/73 Divided out of 1438661 Heading F2U The subject-matter of this Specification is mainly the same as that described in Specification 1,438,661 but the claims are concerned with the provision of the stop in the form of a tongue 25, Fig. 2, of one annular member 17 engaged in a circumferentially elongated slot 26 in the friction facing carrier to limit the rotational movement of the friction facing carrier 14, the tongue being supported against circumferential deflection by locating means on the opposite annular member 18. The locating means may be a recess as shown or an opposing tongue (49), Fig. 4 (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 5, the tongues 66 are bent over to retain the opposite annular member 63 and the carrier 68 with the interposition of damping rings 72, 73 of friction material.
