Abstract

1435782 Delivering fan-fold stationery PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 24 May 1973 [27 May 1972] 24833/73 Heading B8R A web 30 of fan-fold stationery is delivered to form a stack in a bin 1 by a feed device including pin traction feed belts 10 arranged to swing to- and-fro about a shaft 4 and so lay the web in the bin. The swinging movement is caused by a gear wheel (attached to a shaft 20) which engages in an endless toothed rack path formed by two parallel racks 23 and 24 and two semicircular gear rings 26 and 27. The shaft 20 is connected to the lower pin-tractor shaft 15 by bars 21 and is driven from the pin tractor feed so that the gear wheel runs around the endless path. The distance between rings 26 and 27 is adjustable so that the length of the swing of the pin tractor may match the fold frequency in the web. A guide plate 31 holds the web on the pins 12 of the pin tractor.
