Abstract
1433926 Casting processes PONT-A-MOUSSON SA 8 May 1973 [10 May 1972] 21858/73 Heading B3F [Also in Division C7] A composition for inoculating iron comprises a powdered inoculant aggregated by a binder of anhydrous sodium chloride. The preferred composition contains 40-80% by wt. of 60-200 Á ferrosilicon; it may be used in the form of pellets, or as a perforated pouring core or it may define the pouring passage of the mould itself. As particularly described, the pelletized composition 1 is placed on a filter 2 located in the joint plane of mould 3.
