Abstract

1433840 Transferring electrostatic latent images LA CELLOPHANE 21 Nov 1973 [8 Dec 1972] 54093/74 Heading G2H Electrostatic latent images formed on photoconductive belt 11 are transferred to dielectric copy web 5, for development and fixing, by passage of the belt and web around respective roller electrodes 1, 4 and application of a charge to the electrode I by corona device 12. Auxiliary capacitor 8 is connected between the electrodes to make certain that the potential difference between the electrodes is acceptably close to uniform, with a capacitance considerably higher than that of the capacitor formed by the electrodes. Preferably the capacitor 8 has a capacitance at least 100 times greater than that of the capacitor formed by the electrodes.
