Abstract

1432819 Anchor bolts OMARK-AUSTRALIA Ltd 28 Sept 1973 [29 Sept 1972] 45496/73 Heading F2H [Also in Division E2] A fixing device for anchoring in a support member comprises a shank having a tapered end portion, an expansible ferrule in engagement with the tapered end portion and resilient means acting on the ferrule. The resilient means may comprise a spring arranged between the ferrule and an attachment element at the and portion of the shank opposite the tapered end portion. The attachment element may comprise a resilient, bent strip 8 having alignable tubes 10, 11 for accommodating the shank, 1, further holes 12 for attachment purposes, and optionally a lug 14 for engaging the free end of the shank. Alternatively, the attachment element may comprise a nut engaged with a threaded end of the shank in which case the spring may be held in position by a washer (Fig. 5, not shown) or deformations (44) (Fig. 7, not shown) on the shank, or it may comprise an eye (Fig. 6, not shown).
