Abstract

1431515 Chimneys W DIERMAYER and L KUTZNER 14 Feb 1974 [26 Feb 1973] 6687/74 Heading F4J In a Se-Duct system 10 having at different levels a plurality of gas fired appliances 16, 18 with branch circuits 12, 14 each branch circuit includes a baffle 20 so controlled as to increase flow in said branch as upstream firing increases. As indicated, the baffle 20 may be a bi-metallic valve covering part of the branch circuit the remaining part 22 of the branch being of such dimensions as to produce sufficient oxygen for combustion in the case of fresh air supply. The control may depend on another parameter, e.g. the composition of the gas on or in the vicinity of the branch circuit.
