1429955 Spray producers P BUCHEGGER and P J BUOHEGGER 2 Oct 1973 [10 Oct 1972 14 March 1973 14 June 1973 (2)] 45890/73 Heading B2F [Also in Division C7] Cleaning and degreasing apparatus for machine parts comprises a support for the parts, and a spray system consisting of an upright nozzle tube connected to upper and lower horizontal tubes, and at least one additional tube, the support and the spray system being relatively movable. The additional tube, 6, may be telescopic, and can be pivoted about a horizontal axis 15, the tube being locked in the desired position by a cooperating ball 26 and recesses 25. When the tube 6 is not required, it is raised until arm 21 operates lever 22 to shut off supply valve 13, the tube being maintained in its inoperative position by a counterweight 12 or spring. The tubes 3, 4, 5 have a single row of nozzles 7, 8, 9, and the tube 6 has two rows 10 staggered with respect to each other. When the tube 6 is inclined, one row of nozzles 10 may be closed by a valve plate mechanism (Figs. 4, 5 not shown), the pressure of spray material moving the valve plate against spring bias so that selected spray orfices are aligned. In other embodiments, the additional tube 6a connected to the lower tube 5 and extends through the centre of the support 2, and there may be a further additional tube 6b (Figs. 6-7 not shown), and the additional tube and upper tube may be continued in one L-shaped tube (Fig. 9, not shown).
