Abstract

1428173 Dual circuit brake valves CLAYTON DEWANDRE CO Ltd 28 Feb 1974 [12 March 1973] 11812/73 Heading F2F A dual brake valve for use in hydraulic braking systems in which two independent circuits are controlled by a dual valve embodying two valve assemblies operable simultaneously through a pedal-actuated balancing beam 3 has in each assembly dual reaction components or areas in which delivery pressure acts on one of the said areas or components being rendered inactive when the pressure reaches a predetermined value. The reaction components comprise a valve actuating plunger 7 and a sleeve 18 slidable thereon against Belleville washers 19 until it abuts a shoulder 24 when the predetermined pressure is exceeded, the only reaction thrust thereafter being pressure on the plunger. The spring loading may be adjustable.
