Abstract

1426934 Underwater vessels KAWA-SHIMA KOKI CO Ltd 4 May 1973 21367/73 Headings B7A and B7V [Also in Division G2] A self-propelled underwater body comprises a liquid-tight housing 2a having a plurality of outlets connected to a pump 7 driven by a motor 7a. The pump 7 and motor 7a are connected to the housing 2a and may be within it. Valves 8, 9, 10 are provided for controlling water flow to the outlets; the valves :may be controlled from the surface via cable 5 or by an operator within the housing. Ejection of water through outlet 8a causes forward motion; 8b, 8c cause rearward motion 9a, 9b cause tilting in a vertical plane and 10a, 10b cause rotation in a vertical plane. Housing 2a may contain a camera while housings 1b may contain lamps.
