Sectional shelving.-In sectional shelving of the kind in which connecting-rods are passed through holes near the edges of the shelves and through the intervening vertical spacing-members, each tier has its own set of connecting-rods which are separate from, and unconnected with, those of other tiers. Fig. 1 shows an arrangement in which separate rods c are passed through holes a' in the shelves a and into holes 1)' in the vertical members b. In Fig. 4, the member b is shown sufficiently wide to accommodate two rods c and to support two shelves a, so that the shelving may be extended laterally as well as vertically. In either case, the rods, c may be provided with collars b<3> to rest upon the upper surface of the shelves.
