Abstract

1425765 Temperature indicators A SCHILLER 2 May 1973 [6 May 1972] 20932/73 Heading G1D A replaceable cap for use with an electrical measuring probe 6 comprises a thin-walled tube 1 closed at one end by a resilient diaphragm 2. The tube 1 which may be of aluminium or PVC or polyethylene may be provided with a flange 3 for engagement with grippers 4 on the probe when in use, the resilient diaphragm, which may be of rubber, being then stretched over the temperature sensitive tip of the probe 6. The cap may be manufactured by dipping one end of the tube 1 in a solution of rubber and a solvent, withdrawing the tube from the solution, and allowing the solvent to evaporate. The grippers 4 may be actuated by a press-button 5.
