Abstract

1425504 Index tabs TWINLOCK Ltd 24 Jan 1974 [23 Feb 1973] 8980/73 Heading B6E An index tab for suspension filing folders 30, Fig. 8, and movable to one of three possible viewing positions defined by three sets of holes 39, comprises a bar 1, Fig. 5 from which extends a tab 21 and spaced therefrom and parallel thereto three tabs 17, 22, the tab 17 being provided with a pivotal pin 18, Fig. 13, so that the bar can pivot into abutiment with the folder edges 41, 41a, and the selected pivotal position is locked by pins 24, in equidistantly spaced tabs 22 engaging their respective holes 39. Holes 39 and pins 24 may be replaced by friction pads (56, Fig.11). The tab may be provided with a label receiving channel 6 and the limb 2 of the channel may be transparent and provided with a magnifying lens. In the modification the label supporting surface 52 is associated with a slidable cover (not shown) fitting in grooves 53 and having a transparent and magnifying window.
