Abstract

1425433 Display stands T M K G DR ING HABIL LANGWEILER 5 March 1974 [20 March 1973] 9902/74 Heading A4T [Also in Division G5] A display stand for successively presenting e.g. textile or wallpaper sheets 8d at a display position comprises a magazine 1 having spider arms 2 for slidably removably supporting the sheets 8d, an arm 4 for receiving a required sheet 8d when aligned with the respective spider arm 2, and pivotable into a display position, a pivotable guide arm 5 and means 7, 15 for coupling the arm 5 to a sheet carrier 8 so that pivoting of the guide arm 5 transfers the sheet carrier 8 from the spider arm 2 to the arm 4 when aligned, and then pivots the arm 4 to the display position, preferably against the action of a spring 21. The magazine 1 is indexed by a motor 9 to present the required sheet 8d, and with the arms 2, 4 colinear, a sliding block 15 borne by parallel rods, 5a, 5b defining the arm 5 is magnetically actuated to engage a peg 7 on the carrier. Operation of a motor 10 pivots,the arm 5, the block 15 pushing the carrier 8 on to the arm 4 and then causing the arm 4 to pivot the sheet 8d to the display position. An arrester 14 comprising spring-loaded ball means (14a), Fig. 8 (not shown), may rotate with the arms 2, co- operating with depressions 13 in a fixed plate 12 to define the indexed position of the magazine 1.
