Abstract

1422733 Hinges KARL LAUTENSCHLAGER KG MODELBESCHLAGFABRIK 26 March 1973 [21 April 1972 15 Feb 1973] 14387/73 Heading E2F In a spring closure hinge for furniture a first hinge arm 6 is supported movably from an attachment member, formed by a wall butt 3, attached to a supporting wall 1 by a mounting plate 4, and a second hinge arm 7 is pivoted at 8 to the first hinge arm 6 such that the swinging ends of the hinge arms 6, 7 are guided by means of swinging links 11 and 12 along arcuate paths, the swinging link 11 being supported from a door butt 5 of a door 2 by means of a hinge pin 13 and the swinging link 12 being mounted on a hinge pin 14 around which is provided a cam-shaped bearing surface 22 against which bears a U-shaped closure spring 20 associated with the swinging link 12. As shown in Fig. 2, the closure spring 20 is provided with a body of synthetic material 24 which bears directly against the bearing surface 22. In alternative embodiments (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown) a body of synthetic material forms the outer surface of the cam-shaped bearing surface.
