Abstract

1418164 Foundation piles PYNFORD Ltd 31 Jan 1974 [2 Feb 1973] 5374/73 Headings E1E and E1H A load bearing wall 7 is underpinned by a cluster of needle piles 16 which are inserted into the ground adjacent the bottom of the wall. A concrete pile cap 25 unites the upper ends of the piles and transmits the load from the wall to the piles. As shown, beam 9 is provided for redistributing the load of the wall onto new foundations and the piles are inserted by a jacking unit into starter holes 14 bored from working pocket 13.
