Abstract

1377838 Piles BAKER OIL TOOLS INC 27 Oct 1972 [13 Dec 1971] 49761/72 Heading E1H In order to increase the load bearing capacity of a solid or tubular pile 10' the outer surface thereof is provided with a plurality of preformed spaced protuberances, e.g. ribs 16, 16a, 16b which may be formed by expansion means from within a tubular pile, or by rings secured to the outer surface of the pile. The extent to which the ribs project may vary and their spacing may be irregular. The piles may be made of wood, metal, ceramic, plastics or precast concrete which may be reinforced.
