Abstract

1412269 Ventilators FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 30 Nov 1972 [7 Jan 1972] 55236/72 Heading F4V A louvre assembly comprises a housing 12, vanes 36 linked to at least one pair of common gang bars 48, 50 by flexible hinges 46, projections 56 from at least two vanes 36 mounted in openings 30 in the housing 12 for pivotal movement of the vanes 36, at least one bar 48, 50 being formed with teeth which engage grooves 26 on a surface of the housing 12 to hold the vanes in any selected position. The openings 30 are each formed in a resilient tab 32 formed by a cut-out portion 34. The housing 12 and the assembly of vanes 36 and bars 48, 50 are each integrally moulded from a plastics material. The teeth and grooves may extend across, as shown, or longitudinally of the housing 12.
