Abstract

1410447 Reclining chairs MOHASCO INDUSTRIES Inc 21 Aug 1973 [22 Aug 1972] 39670/73 Heading A4J The backrest of a reclining chair is moveable upwardly and downwardly when the chair is in its upright position by a manually operable linkage mechanism which comprises a "high-low" link 71 which allows for said movement of the backrest by being inter-connected with:the backrest mounting bracket 36 through three carrier links 140, 131, 72 operatively connected to a handle 90 rotatably mounted on a base plate 20 such that rotation of the operating handle from a forward horizontal position to an upright position causes upward movement of the backrest whilst the chair remains upright.
