1409178 Toothed gearing LAMPART ZOMANCIPARI MUVEK 16 March 1973 12697/73 Heading F2Q For effecting an intermittent drive of a driven worm-wheel 5 fast with an output shaft, a continuously deriving worm 2 rotatably fast with but axially free on a driving shaft 1 is axially reciprocated on the shaft 1 by means of an eccentric 11 on an input shaft 9, the input shaft 9 rotatably driving the worm drive shaft 1 and hence worm 2 via bevel gears 10, and, via the eccentric 11, strap 12 and linkage 13 to 17 axially reciprocates the worm 2 so that the driven worm-wheel 5 is alternately acclerated and brought to rest as the axial and rotary movements-of the worm 2 either combine or subtract from one another due to the axial reciprocation of the worm 2.
