Abstract

140,875. Ostberg, A. J., and Kenny, A. Feb. 12, 1919. Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores. - In cushion cores for tyres of the kind which are formed by the use of an outer mould in two halves and an inner mould having projections to produce recesses in the core of the tyre, the separate halves are joined together either by an adhesive solution or by vulcanizing. The core is inserted into a tyre cover, to which it may be vulcanized, the width of the bases of the cover and core being greater than that of the wheel rim.
