1407778 Claus off-gases SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 15 Feb 1974 [19 Feb 1973] 7000/74 Addition to 1356289 Heading C1A In the process of Specification 1,356,289 for reducing the total sulphur content of Claus offgases, an alkanolamine with a tertiary substituted nitrogen atom is used as the liquid and regeneratable absorbent for hydrogen sulphide when the off-gases contain more than 20 vol. per cent of carbon dioxide.
