Abstract

1406023 Fluid-pressure actuators EATON CORP 26 March 1974 [28 March 1973] 13459/74 Heading F1D In the actuator shown, the piston 22 is prevented from bottoming as it moves to the right by a resilient member 62 which seals an annular space 42 leading to an outlet port 46. This prevents loss of pressure in a chamber 24 which communicates with sensing means through a duct 50. The resilient member has a foot 64 housed in an annular groove 60 and is compressed to fill a space 56 whilst maintaining separation between the piston 22 and a plate 38. Fluid-pressure in the chamber 24 holds the member 62 against the piston-rod 30.
