Abstract
1404839 Feeding sheets HENRY SIMON Ltd 30 July 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 36263/72 Heading B8R Boards are separated from the bottom of a pile S by the belts 11 of an endless conveyer 10 and are delivered in shingled formation to an elevated position (e.g. the pile table 21 of a printing/slotting machine 22) by belts 12. The conveyer 10 is pivoted at 13 between the belt sections 11 and 12 to permit loading of a fresh pile S on to the belts 11 while these belts are horizontal, Fig. 1. A ram 19 then raises the belt sections to the operative position, Fig. 2. The pile supporting device 15 is pivoted at 14 to the end of belt section 11 to permit it to be moved by a ram 17 from a horizontal loading position, Fig. 1, to a pile supporting position, Fig. 2. A gate 20 aligns the fromt edge of the pile. The two section conveyer 10 may be replaced by a single conveyer which curves upwardly towards the elevated position or by a straight single conveyer pivoted at its lower end.
