Abstract
1404023 Ratooning device V ASUMENDI 22 Nov 1972 [25 Nov 1971] 53933/72 Heading A1F A ratooning device, attachable to a tractor three point linkage has a main frame 2 to which can be attached one or more pairs of disc units 13, either directly to the main frame or to end extension units 7 or to centre extension units 30, 31. The discs 22 of the disc units 13 are free to rotate. The end extensions 7 are attached to the free ends of the main frames 2 by means of wedges 12 driven through holes 11 in upper and lower plates 10 and support each other by interlocking when both are present at one end. The centre extension units 30, 31 are attached to the main frame either centrally or off centre, using a pair of wedges. One or more pairs of disc units 13 are attached to any required cross member using a clamp 24 and wedge 29 for each, the positions being selected to ensure that the discs are overlapping and in contact to provide the required cutting action and also that the requirements for grand height and crop row spacing are satisfied. The frames can also carry other tools for cultivating and trench digging.
