Abstract

1402493 Endless conveyers for bottles and similar articles EMHART ZURICH SA 9 May 1973 [9 May 1972] 22191/73 Heading B8A Bottles and similar shaped articles 13 are transferred between conveyers (10) (11) (Fig. 1, not shown) at different levels by being gripped between padded load carriers 7 carried by opposed runs of two co-operating endless chain conveyers 30, 31. Each end of the conveyers 30, 31 may be curved so as to bring the conveyer path at the respective end, parallel with the conveyer with which transfer is to take place. Each conveyer 30, 31, comprises a roller chain 21, each pair of links of which carries a pair of channel-shaped carriers 16. A plastic holder element 15 is secured to a flange 17 of each carrier 16. The article engaging face of the element 15 may be ribbed as at 23. The ribs 23 may be inclined (Fig. 3A, not shown). The carriers 16 are guided by rails 19 which have guide shoes 18 of low-friction plastic material.
