Abstract

1401574 Knitting machines EDOUARD DUBIED & CIE SA 10 Aug 1973 [11 Sept 1972] 38022/73 Heading D1C In a needle bed for a flat-bed knitting machine, lower and upper jacks 13 and 10 are separated by jack cover strips 11, 12 supporting jacks 10 above which jacks there are jack top strips 8, 9 disposed above the jack cover strips 11, 12 and of greater width. As shown, needles 15 are held by strips 5, 6 and are engaged by jacks 16 held by a cover strip 7 and engaged by lower jacks 10. The rear base 42 of each trick is lower than the front base 41 the two parts being connected by a curved part. Jacks 13 have three parallel sections 132, 133, 134, the first and third of which bear on bases 41, 42 respectively.
