Abstract
1397996 Toy building kits MARKLIN & CIE GmbH Gebr 23 Aug 1973 [1 Feb 1973] 39907/73 Heading A6S A toy building kit comprises blocks 5, Fig. 1, of the generally cruciform cross-section shown, Fig. 2, having slits F along their lengths and a series of holes E through their centres, so that they can be coupled by shackles 1, Figs. 3, 4, each having pegs 2 with bulbous heads 3. As shown, the pegs 2 are terminated by cylindrical portions 4, but alternatively the peg ends may be V or T shaped. The heads 3 of the shackle pegs 2 are snapped through the slits F and the peg ends 4 fit into the holes E. As a modification, the pegs 2, Fig. 8, are of rib-like construction, to fit the slits F. Alternatively, a strip (3a), Fig. 5 (not shown), may connect two adjacent pegs 2. Five pegs 2 may be provided on a single shackle, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown); to connect two bricks one on each side of a third. The blocks 5, &c may be made of plastics.
