1397254 Locks HUWIL-WERKE GmbH 24 Oct 1972 [11 Nov 1971] 48867/72 Heading E2A A key operated lock comprises a bolt having a bolt plate with a talon therein and a retaining spring extending beneath the plate and underlying the talon, the bolt plate forming part of a chamber and into which the spring is inserted from the same side as the key is inserted, the chamber being open for insertion of the spring. A casing 101 of the lock has a key post 102 which projects through an elongated slot in the baseplate 1 of the bolt, the spring 14 extends through the chamber in the bolt and is anchored at one end between two posts 19, 20. The chamber is formed by a plate 18 having the talon joined to a rib 17 and a head 16 of the bolt. The bolt has a lateral projection 21 whereby a projection 22 of the spring engages one or other side of the bolt projection to retain the bolt in the projecting or withdrawn position. The key post passes through an aperture in a disc 4 which has posts 5, 6 which engage notches in two bolt operating links 7, 8 the disc also has a notch open at the peripheral of the disc into which a peg 2 of the bolt extends whereby turning the key extends the bolt head 16 and extends two colinear sliding bolts connected 'to the links 7, 8. The two colinear bolts may be omitted or these bolts may be rotatable in which case the bolt base plate 1 has an extension with apertured wings in which engage a stud 10 or each end of a link 11 interconnecting the two colinear bolts whereby extending the first bolt rotates the colinear bolts.
