Abstract

1391154 Burners MONARK-CRESCENT AB 21 May 1973 [14 June 1972] 24177/73 Heading F4T A vaporizing burner device for liquid fuel comprises a flame chamber 2, means 1 for conveying an air supply to the flame chamber, an elongated and transversely curved fuel vaporizing member 6 formed of a heat conductive material extending into flame chamber 2, the vaporizing member 6 being lined on its upper side with a porous heat resistant material and fuel supply means 5 for supplying fuel to the upper side of the vaporizing member 6, which is aligned with the flame chamber 2 and so located that during normal combustion the flame heats the vaporizing member. The upper surface of the vaporizing member 6 is lined with a ceramic fibre. An igniter heats the end of the fuel supply tube 5 before fuel starts to flow; whereupon the fuel ignites. Vaporizing member 6 is detachable.
