Abstract

Coal-cutting machines.-In a coal-cutting machine, a continuous roller chain A is employed, and detachable cutter-boxes B have projecting bases C fitting within grooves in alternate links and are attached by pins F passing through the side members of the links and through holes G in the bases C. The jib of the machine has a central rib on which the rollers bear.
