Abstract

1388767 Liquid-powder mixer H IWAKO 11 May 1972 [24 July 1971] 22220/72 Heading B1C Liquid introduced tangentially at 1 into a tank 2 rises and flows over a frusto-conical weir 3 forming a film on its inner surface on to which is projected by a slinger cone 6 a liquid or powder from the inlet 4. The mixture falls on to a slinger disc 7 having pins 8 interdigitating with fixed pins 9, and is then directed downwardly in a vessel 11 by guides 10. A rotating scraper blade is attached to the shaft 5. Pulse generators PG, LG emit signals representative of the supply rates of the feeders PF, LF, which are compared with reference pulses emitted by a timer T and compensating control of the feeder motors effected. Alternatively, the apparatus may be controlled by punched cards or computer.
