Abstract

1384211 Impact pulverizers TONGAAT SUGAR (PTY) Ltd 17 April 1973 [18 April 1972] 18530/73 Heading B2A An impact pulverizer or shredder comprises a screen grid which can yield in the event of the entry of tramp material. A toggle arm is pivoted to the mill frame 13 at 12 and a second toggle arm 14 is pivoted to the screen. The toggle elbow 18 is biased almost straight by a compression spring located between an upper adjustable strip 24 (which sets the spring force) and an anchor element 22. The spring is such as to maintain the grid in normal or "at rest" position when the toggle is at its minimum angle. A lower stop 25 fixes the "at rest" position of the grid.
