Abstract
1383623 Fe-Ni-Ti alloys UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION 16 April 1973 [2 May 1972] 18181/73 Heading C7A A structural alloy which exhibits high hardness and toughness at low temperature making it particularly suited for aryogenic application, consists by weight of:- 8 to 16% nickel 0À25 to 1% titanium the balance being iron. The alloy is heat-treated at 800 to 1000‹C, and then rapidly cooled to room temperature; it is then re-heated to 650 to 720‹C where a three-phase region exists, Fig. 1 (not shown) and again cooled.
