Abstract

1382999 Valves MONARCH MARKING SYSTEMS Inc 31 Dec 1971 [8 Jan 1971] 61058/71 Heading F2V [Also in Division B8] A spool valve for controlling a double acting piston and cylinder assembly drive of a labelling machine comprises a valve body 176 having a bore 194 and shoulders 196 in which resilient sealing members 198 are force fitted, spool bushings 200 each having a series of four equally spaced openings (202, Fig. 15), and a spool valve member 204 consisting of two identical sections (205, Fig. 14) screwed together. In operation fluid admitted under pressure into the bore 194 may be selectively directed to either side of the piston 178 through the openings in a respective one of the bushings 200 when the associated land 210 of the valve member 204 is out of sealing contact with the inner one of its associated sealing ring members 198.
