Abstract

1381613 Road traffic signals on vehicles; signs H G SAMRA 29 Feb 1972 9336/72 Headings G4Q and G5C A vehicle signal device comprises a carrier 35 including a reflector 36 and a plurality of lamps 48 and having a peripheral portion for mounting in a casing 17 or directly in a body portion of the vehicle, together with one or more removable windows 34 which are either tinted or carry indicia such as " parking ", " loading ", " accident "," towing " or " help ". As shown, casing 17 is adjustably mounted in U-shaped bracket 41 secured at the rear of the vehicle. Windows not in use are stored in slots 23, 24. The lamps are operated by a switch on the vehicle dashboard, associated with a fuse, flasher unit, and indicator light or buzzer.
