Abstract

1378678 Electrode processing NIPPON HOSO KYOKAI 30 March 1972 [27 May 1971] 14992/72 Heading H1D [Also in Division C7] During the production by vapour deposition of an electrode layer 12 on a support film 2 a cover 10 is provided on the side of film 2 remote from layer 12. A gas vent 13 can be provided. The use of such a cover 10 is said to produce a film of uniform thickness. The thickness of the film can be locally varied by using a cover with a curved or other non-planar inner surface. The process is described with reference to a secondary electron emitting electrode having a coating of cryolite and magnesium oxide.
