Abstract

1378549 Valves JOHN RODWELL Ltd and J A RODWELL 6 Aug 1973 [5 July 1972] 31393/72 Heading F2V A valve closure member comprises a washer 26 containing a resilient bush 27 which is compressed between the valve seat 17 and a member 24 on the valve stem 23 when the valve is closed. The closure member may be moved towards and away from the seat by a plunger 21 operated manually or by automatic mechanism. Excess pressure at an inlet 15 lifts the closure member against a spring 28.
