Abstract

1376967 Selective printing DECISION DATA COMPUTER CORP 6 July 1972 [6 July 1971] 31804/72 Heading B6F A removable inking roller cartridge comprises two relatively rotatable casing elements 20, 21 housing an inking roller 22, the casing elements 20, 21 being formed with apertures 20a, 21a which can be aligned to expose the inking roller, as shown, or which can be out of alignment to enclose the inking roller (Figs. 2, 4, not shown), and mounting means 45 whereby the cartridge can be fixed to a mounting member 44 by rotation of the means 45 relative to the member 44, rotation of the casing element 20 towards roller exposing position causing rotation of the mounting means 45 in a direction to fix the means 45 to the member 44, and rotation of the casing element 20 towards roller enclosing position causing rotation of the mounting means 45 in a direction to disconnect the means 45 from the member 44. The cartridge can thus be removed and replaced without soiling the hands. The mounting means as described comprises a bayonet connection. The mounting member 44 is carried by a pivotable member 35, detent means 62, 63 defining operative and inoperative positions thereof.
