Abstract

1375363 Masted lift trucks NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 8 Dec 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 59100/70 Heading B8H A load lifting mast assembly is mounted on a self-propelled vehicle so as to be pivotable laterally about an axis below the centre of gravity of the unladen vehicle. As shown, a trunnion 15 is pivotably mounted on a shaft 5 and pivotally supports the mast assembly about an axis 14. Hydraulic rams 17, 25 are pivotally connected between the vehicle and the mast assembly for adjusting the inclination of the mast assembly. The mast assembly may be mounted so as to be additionally pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the axes 5, 14, and may be connected to the chassis by a reach mechanism. The load support of the mast assembly consists of a frame 10-12 and a jib 13.
