Abstract
1375265 Supporting rollers PAVENA AG 20 April 1972 [7 May 1971] 18277/72 Heading DID A roller 11, Fig. 3, is supported by two parallel leaf springs 15, 16 set in a holder 17 adjustably mounted to the machine frame 18 which allow vertical movement and maintain the roller axis parallel to the axis of a cooperating roller 20. The roller is loaded by a spring 23 through a pressure bolt 22 provided with an adjusting disc 24. The roller may alternatively be loaded by the deflection of the leaf springs, see Fig. I (not shown). In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 6, disc like rollers 28, 33 are employed both being driven, the movable disc 33 by a flexible drive shaft 45 and splined connection 47, 48. Two cover plates 31, 32 align the discs and the system is said to be an impregnating arrangement.
